John terry laments loss of youth players boot-cleaning responsibilities..

John Terry sat down with Fenners in the Soccer AM Boot Room this week to chat about, well, boots.
The Chelsea skipper is currently waiting to hear from Chelsea on whether they’ll offer him a new contract but he doesn’t look too stressed about life in this interview.
Terry looks back nostalgically on him time as a youth player, when he had to carry out duties for the senior players, such a boot-cleaning.

JT laments that youth players no longer have to clean boots, as he believes such responsibilities help shape character and stand to players when they graduate to the first team.  101 greatgoals.com

Arsenal keen to sign mauro Icardi

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Argentina international as potential cover for Danny
Welbeck after the Arsenal striker was ruled out for nine months on Wednesday afternoon
Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils were also thought to be monitoring the 23-year-old forward as the 20-time English champions look to bolster their attacking options in the summer transfer window.

However, Icardi, who joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2013, was adamant that he will be staying with Roberto Mancini’s side despite the speculation surrounding his future.
“I have a contract until 2019 and there are a few years to go yet. I will absolutely stay here,” Icardi is quoted as saying by the daily express..

“Do I want to become the new Javier Zanetti? Steady on, that’s a lot of years.
“I am happy to be here and to be wearing his armband. If I get to remain as many years as he did, then I’ll be even happier.”

Icardi has scored 16 times in 33 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri this season..   thesportreview.com

MAN UNITED LINE UP FOUR REPLACEMENT FOR LVG...

The question is, Will he go or will he stay? That seems to be the question everybody in Manchester is asking at the minute, as Manchester United’s managerial crisis intensifies. It can’t be nice to be Louis Van Gaal right night as he seems stuck between a rock and a hard place. The United board are reportedly split on whether to for him or give him another chance.
The intense speculation lies with Ed Woodward, the club chairman, who was instrumental in bringing LVG into the club after David Moyes left. He has reportedly given Jose Mourinho a ‘golden handshake’ to take over at the end of the season.

With every one knowing in the dressing room that MOURIHO is coming to old traford meaning that Ryan Giggs will leave the club as Jose appoints his own staff.

Mourinho wasn’t the only name suggested by the Manchester United board when looking at managerial prospects. They also looked at some other managers who might come in and bring the glory years back to Old Trafford. Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola were both wanted but had already signed up to other teams, Pep to Manchester City and Ancelotti to Bayern.

Mauricio Pochettino of high-flying Tottenham was also considered, as well as Jose Mourinho. Now it seems they are just as confused as ever, as LVG still reckons he will be the boss.
So who will be in charge at United next year? The saga continues..
